This song reminds me of May 2006, when I went to Paris with my friend Jenni for the Champions League final, in the hope that Arsenal might win the trophy. I had a ticket for the match, and guarded it closely whilst travelling to Paris, and to the stadium. The events of those few days in Paris that remind me of the song are,1. The number of Arsenal supporters travelling to the match, wanting to witness possibly the biggest match the club had played. 2. The number who didn't have tickets, and who fruitlessly searched for ticket touts out there (Jenni was one of them). 3. The Barcelona supporters presence in Paris being marked by letting off firecrackers under The Eiffel Tower. 4. Arsenal fans watching. 5. Getting ready for the journey to the Stade de France in our hostel room - with flag and new scarf. 6. Arriving four hours before kick off, and absorbing the atmosphere. 7. And, even the guys without tickets breaking through gates and scaling fences! Okay, we lost. But that doesn't matter now!
